Ivan has also participated in one of the great Cordillera traverses where he traversed to 23 more mountains: Mts. Ivan is the first BP Lead, having the most experience in travelling and climbing mountains in the group. His vision for The BACKPACKERS is for the group to travel and explore all 80 provinces in the Philippines and meet/collaborate/climb with several bloggers/freelance climbers and mountaineering groups. 

Ivan founded and served as The BACKPACKERS Lead from 2010 - 2014.
He was awarded BACKPACKER of the Year 2011.
